Privacy and Information Handling Policy: Habeas Data

In order to fulfill the provisions laid down in the Decree No. 1377 of 2013, regulating the Law No. 1581 of 2012, and in accordance with the Agreement No. 002 of September 4, 2013 of the Universidad Católica de Colombia, “by which it is approved the Manual of Personal Data Handling Policy":

The Universidad Católica de Colombia, considered as responsible for and/or in charge of personal data procedures, states that the authors, committee members, and reviewers’ personal data are included in its databases; therefore, and in compliance with current legal dispositions, the Universidad Católica de Colombia, in fulfillment of its role as a Higher Education Institution, and especially regarding teaching, extension and research, will always request their authorization in order to collect, gather, store, use, circulate, suppress, process, exchange, compile, handle, update, transmit and/or transfer to third countries, and use the supplied data, which have been incorporated in different databases existing at the University.

The Universidad Católica de Colombia is authorized, explicitly and unequivocally, in accordance with the terms specified in the Decree No. 1377 of 2013, to store and handle the information of our collaborators (authors, members of different committees, and reviewers). Similarly, collaborators will have the right to know, update, rectify, and suppress their personal data. The following emails have been created for this purpose:
