Resumen
El presente artículo aborda el problema de las barreras que limitan la interacción efectiva entre la Construcción Industrializada (CI) y el Building Information Modeling (BIM), dos enfoques innovadores que prometen beneficios significativos en términos de eficiencia, sostenibilidad y calidad en la industria de la construcción. A pesar de sus ventajas, persisten obstáculos relacionados con factores económicos, culturales, tecnológicos, normativos y de gestión. Este estudio identifica y analiza dichas barreras a partir de una revisión exhaustiva de la literatura y la experiencia profesional, evaluando su impacto en la implementación global de CI y BIM. Sin embargo, se detecta la ausencia de un método estándar para medir dicho impacto y proponer estrategias de solución. El artículo propone enfoques prácticos para superar estos desafíos, como la colaboración interdisciplinaria, la creación de estándares comunes, la formación profesional y la promoción de la investigación. Se concluye reflexionando sobre el potencial transformador de CI y BIM para el sector, siempre que se aborden eficazmente las barreras identificadas.
